Will I be treated on the same table as a K9?

No. People and Paws are treated on different tables. Overall maintaining seperate tables for humans and K9's during treatments is an essential measure to ensure saftey and cleanliness of both parties. Proper cleaning measures are in place to follow the CMTO standards of practoce guidelines.

Also there are specific days that are only catered to people massage only in case of allergies.

Is my Massage Therapist Registered?

Yes. The RMT has been practicing for 15 years and is in good standing with the CMTO. We can also direct bill.

What will happen during my first massage?

You will fill out a health history form to let us know any concerns you may have and we can look at medical history to create a treatment plan and create goals to reach. Then you will be asked to undress to your comfort level when the therapist leaves, and lie on the table under the sheets. We will establish a pressure scale and treat your main goals for treatment.

Is massage painful?

We work within your comfort level and create a scale that works with you. Due to the release of lactic acid in the muscles its not unusual to feel some soreness during the treatment or the next day. If the masssage is too intense you should ask your Therapist to reduce the pressure. I always use a pressure scale when treating so you have the best treatment possible

What do I wear during a Massage?

You will be asked to undress to your comfort level. So you will be in control of your own comfort and clothing. You will be draped during the treatment and only the areas we are treating at that moment will be undraped. There will be no exposure of any sensitive areas at any time during your treament, unless a consent form is signed before treatment and an explanation to treat the gluteal muscles, chest wall, breast tissue and/or inner thigh.
